Auto Quotes is an instant quoting feature designed to help you save time. It is available on some but not all job categories and allows you to set an advised price for different repairs. When a job is posted in your area, the system automatically sends a quote using your pre-set pricing.

71% of jobs on FixMyCar are booked within 24 hours of posting, and 89% of those are booked in the first hour. If you’re relying only on manual quotes, there’s a good chance another garage has already won the work before you’ve even seen the job.
Keep your MOT and service bays busy
In November 2025, 99% of all MOT jobs won came from Auto Quotes, even though 51% of quotes sent were manual. In other words, most winning MOT quotes were automatic.
Likewise, 94% of all full service & MOT jobs won came from Auto Quotes, despite 69% of quotes sent being manual.
Garages that haven’t set up Auto Quotes are almost certainly missing out on work, especially on MOTs and service & MOT jobs where the data shows automatic quotes are winning the vast majority of bookings.

How to set up Auto Quotes
From the homepage, click ‘Auto Quotes’ in the navigation bar. You will be taken to a page where you can turn on automatic quoting for different categories and set your prices.

Choose the categories you’d like to automatically quote on using the ‘on’/’off’ toggles, and enter the price in the relevant box.

We recommend clicking ‘customise message’ to add information about the service you offer and any extra details a driver might want to know. When you are happy with the message, don’t forget to press the ‘apply’ button to save your changes.

The final step is to preview the message, which shows you what it looks like to a driver.
Auto Quotes are an excellent way to save time and win more customers with minimal effort. You can update them or switch them off at any time.
Parts & Labour Auto Quotes
Parts & Labour Auto Quotes are designed to help save you time by automatically calculating quotes. You can use this feature if your main parts supplier is EuroCarParts or AAG.
How it works
- You enter your ECP or AAG account number, labour rate and parts markup.
- Choose which parts you want to use Parts & Labour Auto Quotes for by clicking the ‘turn on’ toggle. You can also choose what part quality you’d like and select a brand preference.
- The system calculates job quotes using the information you have provided and vehicle information from Haynes Pro.
- When your quote is accepted, someone from ECP or AAG headquarters will call you to confirm the correct parts for the job.
- Finally, the parts will be conveniently delivered to you, saving you time and effort.
Frequently asked questions
What do I do if an incorrect P+L quote is submitted?
If an incorrect quote is submitted, the first step is to let the customer know and provide an updated quote. It is also worth letting your Account Manager know so they can help set up the account to prevent this from happening again.
How do I change parts suppliers on my P+L quoting?
To switch parts suppliers, give us a call, and your Account Manager will make the change for you.
Can I update my pricing at any time?
You can update your pricing, labour rates, and markup rates at any time. It's best practice to ensure your profile always has the most up-to-date pricing.
