I am receiving job alerts or applying for jobs on services I don’t offer – how do I change this?
If you are seeing job alerts for services you don’t offer, or you’ve noticed you have automatically applied for a job on a service you don’t offer it means that this service is ticked in your profile settings.
All you need to do is review your services and update the settings to ensure you have unticked anything you don’t currently offer.
This can be done indefinitely or just on a temporary basis depending on your requirements.
To access your services, you need to visit your profile settings page. You can access this by either clicking on the ‘Edit Profile’ option on the blue taskbar on the left-hand side of your home page, or by going to the top right corner of your homepage and clicking on the account user or business name and then selecting the ‘Profile’ option.
Once in profile settings you will see a series of tabs across the top of your screen – your services are under ‘Essential Information’ – click on this tab to continue.
Once you’re in the ‘Essential Information’ section you will see a few text boxes at the top – scroll past these and you will see the list of service categories and services items with a tick box next to each one.
Go through these categories carefully ensuring you’ve removed anything you don’t wish to offer.
Once you’ve been through the list, if you scroll down again you will see a list of vehicle manufacturers. You can also go through this list using the tick boxes to remove any vehicles you are unable or do not wish to work on.
Once you’re happy with your changes ensure you go all the way to the bottom of the page and click the blue ‘Save’ button to update your changes. Once you have clicked save, give it a moment and the page should update and display a message at the top of the page to confirm your changes have been saved.
