Profile Settings

Keeping your profile up to date

The first impression drivers have of your business comes from your profile page. That’s why you should always keep it up to date - it’s a great tool to help you win more work. The more information you provide and the better you make it look, the more likely a driver is to book with you rather than another garage with a less impressive profile.

You can access your profile settings by clicking ‘edit profile’ in the screen's navigation panel on the left-hand side.

1. Update your contact details

Here, you can update your contact information, including your phone number and email address, which is vital so that customers can contact you.

2. Add more information about your business

This is your opportunity to show off your specialisms and sell your business by highlighting your experience. Use the text box to detail the services you offer, where you’re based, and whether you provide any add-ons, such as a courtesy car. Don’t be afraid to add a bit of personality here and explain why drivers should choose you.

After you’ve filled in the text box, you can select all the services you offer by ticking the relevant boxes. You can change these at any time.

3. Update your key profile information

Under the ‘profile information’ tab, you can:

  • Add a profile picture

  • Select how many ramps you have and let drivers know whether you have an MOT bay

  • Decide which vehicle types you repair

  • Include a link to your website

  • Add local transport links

  • Update your working hours

  • Provide information about your facilities and whether you offer extra services such as pick up and drop off

  • List your professional accreditations

Having an up-to-date profile is vital since drivers are likelier to choose a garage with a complete profile than one with very little information. A complete profile can:

  •  Increase your visibility and attract more drivers

  • Build trust and credibility with drivers

  • Help drivers understand your services and facilities better

  • Improve your chances of getting chosen for repairs and services

4. Add bodywork repair information

If you offer bodywork and dent repairs, this section allows you to show off any before and after photos you might have to attract customers. You can also add a BDQ Lite URL - for more information about this, contact your account manager.

Here, you can also link up reviews from TrustPilot and Google and add any accreditations you have.

5. Update your card details

It goes without saying that keeping your card details up to date is important for allowing payments and refunds to be processed.

6. Change your contact preferences

Under the ‘permissions’ tab, you can decide what type of emails you want to receive and whether you are happy to be contacted by phone.

7. Set up Payment Assist

Payment Assist allows drivers to split the cost of large repair bills into four equal payments. You can set up your Payment Assist account and change the settings depending on which services you’d like to include.

8. Set up your network options

This tab allows you to decide which networks will show on your quotes. Updating these settings helps drivers make an informed decision when choosing a garage and gives your business even more credibility.

9. Set up a job won message

The final thing you can update is your job won message, which is sent to drivers when they accept your quote. You should take the time to customise this message because it shows that you provide good customer service, and customers will likely remember it when leaving a review.
